Price of gas in Nicaragua

Officially, Nicaragua is the country in Central America where you buy a gallon of fuel is more expensive.

Historically, Costa Rica, the country with the second largest economy in the isthmus, is where the fuels are traded higher.

However, with the increase that was recorded last weekend, Nicaragua, with the smallest economy, has come to occupy that position momentarily.

The official price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline in Nicaragua sold at 5.48 dollars, 13 cents more expensive than the official price that sold in Costa Rica.

Meanwhile, regular gasoline sold here at 5.10 dollars a gallon, a difference of four cents over the southern country, the only price that still sells more expensive the diesel, which is sold in Costa Rica in 4.78 dollars a gallon, 10 cents more than those listed here.

While the difference in prices prevailing in Nicaragua and Costa Rica is cents, remember that Costa Ricans at the pump, the price of fuel is regulated by the state and is modified once a month.
